Eligibility
For funding to qualify, the participating business must be South Africa based, should have a turnover of less than R50 million and must be 51% Black Owned and above.
All persons entering this Competition (“the Participants”) agree that these Terms and Conditions, rules and provisions as set out herein are binding on them.
By entering this Competition, all Participants acknowledge that they have the legal capacity to enter the Competition and hereby agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions as set out herein, which Terms and Conditions will be as interpreted by the Promoters. The Promoters’ decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered thereafter.

Who May not Enter
Participation in this Competition specifically excludes any employee, director, member, partner, agent or consultant or any person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the Promoters and/or immediate family members of any employee, director, member, partner, agent or consultant of or person indirectly or directly in control or controlled by the Promoters, their advertising agencies, advisers and dealers (“Disqualified Persons”).

Confidentiality
Participants acknowledge that Submissions may be reviewed by multiple Sasol representatives and adjudicators for evaluation purposes. Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, Submissions shall not be treated as confidential. Participants submit entries at their own risk and are responsible for ensuring that they do not disclose confidential or proprietary information they are not authorised to share.

Ownership of Intellectual property
All intellectual property rights (including, without limitation, any patents, designs, copyrights, trade secrets, know-how and other proprietary rights) in and to any ideas, concepts, materials or information submitted as part of the competition (“Submissions”) shall remain the sole and exclusive property of the participant making the Submission. Sasol reserves the right, as a condition of awarding any prize, to require the participant to enter into a separate agreement governing the ownership, transfer, licensing or commercialisation of the intellectual property in the winning Submission.

Independent Development
Participants acknowledge that Sasol may already be developing or may in the future independently develop ideas, technologies or solutions that are similar or identical to those contained in a Submission. Nothing in these terms shall restrict Sasol’s ability to carry on such independent activities.

No Transfer or Obligation
Nothing in these terms shall be construed as transferring any intellectual property rights from the participant to Sasol. Submission of an idea does not create any expectation of (i) compensation (other than the awarded prize) or (ii) commercial engagement. Sasol shall be under no obligation to pursue, develop, implement or otherwise use any Submission.

Indemnification
Each participant is responsible for their Submission and agrees to indemnify Sasol and its Affiliates from any claims, losses or damages arising from (i) breach of these terms and conditions, (ii) any claim that the Submission infringes a third party’s intellectual property rights or (iii) the participant not having the necessary rights to submit the content. Participants further acknowledge that Sasol and its Affiliates shall not be responsible for verifying whether any Submission has been generated using AI tools or for any consequences arising from such use. The indemnity set out herein shall expressly apply to any AI-generated content included in a Submission.

Compliance anti-bribery and corruption laws
By participating in this competition, You confirm that You are knowledgeable about and will comply with any anti-bribery and corruption laws applicable to Your participation and any potential business resulting therefrom.

Competition Period
The Competition commences on 8 June 2026 and runs until 23:59:59 17 June 2026, both days inclusive (“the Competition Period”).

Prize and Entry Mechanics
The prize consists of 1st Place: R500 000 | 2nd Place: R350 000 | 3rd Place: R150 000. There will be a maximum of three winners. A winner of one prize will not be eligible to win another prize. All eligible entries received prior to the draw date shall be eligible to win a Prize. The winner will be confirmed only once all entry verifications have been conducted by the Promoter and receipt of any information as required by the Promoter. The Prize is not transferable and will only be issued in the Winners name. No substitution or assignment of the Prize is permitted. The prize will be assigned to the business. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries lost, misdirected, illegible, late or altered. All entries must be submitted through the system with the provided link. Any and all tax implications and liabilities as a result of winning a Prize will be solely borne by the winner.

Notification of Winners
If the Prize is declined or if the potential winner cannot be contacted, after three attempts, from the details supplied on their entry, a replacement winner will be drawn at the Promoter’s discretion and the replacement winner will be notified by the Promoter and the “winner contact” process will be followed. The Prize can only be handed over to the winner if all details provided by the winner are factually correct and requested supporting documentation presented to the Promoter within 7 (seven) days of contact. If supporting documentation is not presented within the stipulated time, the winner will be disqualified and the same process as above will be followed to select a replacement winner.
